Guided tours of Milan and Como for authors and events organized by publishers. In Italian, English and German.
Another professional field that grew from my own personal and human need, namely the desire to balance the solitary nature of translation work, and to continue to explore topics such as art and architecture, setting out from the places around me, as well as the need to maintain my links with the publishing world. My challenge is to ensure that what my visitors see and experience leaves them with positive memories of their tour.
My mom and I learned so much about Milan, and Italian history, on our wonderful walking tour with Monica. She lets you set the pace, and tailors her private tours to your interests. She also knows the best tucked-away places for an aperol spritz! I highly recommend a tour with her.
I have always felt great satisfaction at having succeeded in completing my novel, set in Milan. Once published, I wanted to explore it further, and together with Monica, we gave the gift of this wonderful experience to many other readers: with her professionalism and competence, she guided us in the footsteps of Ben Dixon, culminating in a visit to see Leonardo da Vinci’s Last Supper together. More than just a guide, she was ready to unravel and analyse even the most bizarre, mysterious and curious matters, immortalizing them for us, who, as we listened, were projected back to the years when Saint Ambrose’ character was forged, until he eventually became the patron saint of the fantastic city of Milan. Such curious and detailed descriptions that I could almost see the carriages whizzing past the front of the old Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore…
And what can I say of the immense help she gave us in staging our performance of “Fiabasia del Barbaja”?
Working with Monica has always been a source of great pleasure and confidence, thanks to her professionalism, reliability and competency. Added to this, her proposals come with a liberal dose of creativity and originality. We have worked together on a number of projects, always to my great satisfaction.
